It's a pleasure to be able to recommend Discovery Dreams Homes for your consideration. My husband (an engineer) wanted to build a post and beam house on our lakefront property, when he retired. So for the last few years before he retired, we visited every post and beam model home within 300 miles of Toronto, we bought every magazine and read all the books. The team at Discovery Homes were the group we finally selected and we're very glad we did. The computer generated drawings made the house come alive. They had lots of patience when we changed our minds.

Our property had been in the family for generations and we wanted to use some of the pines from the property in the new house. Their machines were able to accommodate, so now we can point to a big beam in the living room and tell the story of that piece of wood.

My husband has always worked with wood ( building a strip canoe and fine furniture) so he was very specific about the builder - although the builder we wanted had never erected a post and beam home. Discovery's team were very helpful and I think the builder was excited to give it a try. The timbers all arrived numbered and the frame was put together like a barn raising - with no nails! Discovery was very responsive to any erection problems. Two of the posts were incorrect , and with no argument, the correct posts were delivered to our site the next day. When the frame was up, we followed tradition and had a timber frame party for all the folks who had worked on it and a few neighbors - another reason for building a Timberframe home.

Promises were delived on time and with back up support. We don't hesitate to recommend Discovery Dream homes.
